Behaviour & Rewards
We believe that in order for children to become successful learners we need to provide a happy, safe and secure environment that fosters appropriate behaviour and attitudes.
In order to achieve this we work in partnership with parents and carers to develop a mutual understanding so that:
-
The management of behaviour becomes a shared responsibility within which mutual support is offered.
-
Value is placed on celebrating achievements and rewarding positive behaviour.
-
Parents and carers are aware of our expectations.
-
We involved children in establishing and discussing our Diamond Promises.
-
We have clear and consistent expectations which are made explicit to the children.
-
We provide and environment and opportunities which foster positive behaviour from the outset.
-
We aim to understand the reasons behind a child's behaviour and use this knowledge to support their individual needs.
-
We welcome the support and expertise of outside agencies.
