At Diamond Wood Community Academy, we believe that every voice matters. The views of our pupils, parents, carers, staff, governors, and local feeder schools play a vital role in shaping the future of our community. By listening carefully to feedback, we can celebrate what we do well and identify areas where we can grow stronger.
We are committed to continuous improvement and to building a school where every learner can thrive. Guided by our vision, “A place to grow, a place to shine” , we use stakeholder feedback to ensure our school remains a welcoming, ambitious, and successful environment for all.

Thank you to pupils, parents, carers, staff, governors and our feeder junior school for sharing your views. Your feedback has helped shape our Academy Improvement Plan for 2025–26.
What We’re Doing Well
- Positive Ofsted inspection outcome.
- Strong phonics, reading and maths progress.
- Nurturing and inclusive ethos – children feel safe and cared for.
- Early and effective SEND support.

- Community spirit – teamwork between staff, pupils and families.

Areas to Keep Improving
- Attendance – especially in Reception!
- Behaviour – consistent standards at playtimes, lunchtimes and in corridors.
- Writing – building stamina, sentence structure and spelling.
- EYFS Outcomes – improved assessment, independence and transition into Year 1.
- Playgrounds and facilities – more equipment, cleaner spaces.
- Staff wellbeing – supporting those who support our pupils.
